About Light Years Ahead Ltd

At Light Years Ahead, we design and manufacture lighting that supports safety, wellbeing and durability in specialist environments. With over 25 years of industry experience, we’ve built a reputation for products that perform under pressure. Our luminaires are engineered, assembled and tested in the UK to meet demanding technical and compliance standards, including IK impact ratings, anti-ligature design principles and sector-specific guidance. Customer relationship is at the heart of everything we do. We target 100% on-time delivery, every time. As a British manufacturer, we’re able to achieve this by having robust, short supply chains and precise stock management. We aim to work to minimum lead times and typically deliver within weeks of receiving an order. What sets us apart is how closely we work with the people who specify, install and rely on our lighting every day, including consultants, estates teams, architects and contractors. We’ll help you select the right lighting for the people and purpose it’s meant to serve. Working with us you can be assured that we wholeheartedly listen to understand your exact needs. Having a deep understanding of your brief means we’re able to utilise our expertise to design, manufacture and deliver best-in-class products that match your budget. We believe that lighting can do more than illuminate. It can help create safer environments, support therapeutic care and reduce maintenance and energy demands without sacrificing quality or design integrity.
