About Linden Tree Books

Nestled on a tree-lined street in downtown Los Altos, Linden Tree Books is dedicated to providing unique books and gifts for all age groups. Our extremely broad book inventory is complemented by an innovative selection of timely yet timeless treasures: puppets and book-related dolls, science and math games, art materials, puzzles and more. Linden Tree was formed in 1981 by Dennis and Linda Ronberg. Combining the “Lin” and “Den” of their first names, Linden Tree originally specialized in children’s recordings. Since then, Linden Tree Books has branched out to provide a remarkably diverse product line – not to mention a physical and online store, social media presence and innovation in bookselling – all rooted in a single and simple goal: helping imaginations grow, from newborns to nonagenarians. Current owners, Flo Grosskurth and Chris Saccheri (local parents and ex-LinkedIn employees), are constantly writing new chapters for Linden Tree with expanding inventory, engaging speakers, and events. Linden Tree Books, whether online or in the store, is a destination for both head and heart. Experience our friendly atmosphere and knowledgeable staff, whose “life branches” are as far-reaching as our inventory. This warm and very informed group includes students, teachers, librarians, storytellers and children’s literature experts and enthusiasts. Flo, Chris, and the entire Linden Tree Books family want the community to know you can always count on personalized service, attention to total customer satisfaction and an unending mission to ignite imaginations.
