About Literacy Council of Alaska

Literacy Council of Alaska (LCA) provides free and low-cost teen and adult education services to individuals in Interior and Northern Alaska. We believe literacy changes lives. Through GED preparation, English Language Learning (ELL), career pathway services, and workforce readiness support, we help teens and adults build the skills and confidence needed to achieve their goals. In addition to direct education services, LCA operates Forget-Me-Not Books, a nonprofit bookstore that helps create a print-rich community while supporting our programs. Our work strengthens families, employers, and communities by expanding access to education and opportunity for all.
