About Literature Alliance Scotland

LAS offers professional development and community for the staff and freelancers who work in the literature sector in Scotland. We believe that books and the people who write and work with them matter. Our Membership network is open to constituted organisations based in Scotland or working to support Scottish communities through reaching readers, supporting writers, developing literacy and more. As the sector development body for literature organisations in Scotland, our annual programme includes network meetings, training, targeted development opportunities and collaborative advocacy initiatives. We act as a collective voice for the literature sector. LAS is a registered charity run by an active and engaged Board of Trustees, who are nominated by our Membership.
