About Little Bridge Foundation

Little Bridge Foundation is an international non-profit developing scalable, sustainable solutions for child protection, education, and community resilience in Uganda. Founded in 2021 by Estonian actress and philanthropist Henessi Schmidt and Ugandan community lead Mugonzi Abdul Basitu, the organisation brings together long term child welfare and community driven development. We work beyond aid, focusing on lasting impact through child safety and education, alongside income generating initiatives such as farming, permaculture, and other community led projects. With 98% of donations reaching directly the people who need it most, our commitment to transparency and measurable results guides every step we take. This is how our vision has grown: a replicable model where charity creates independence, not dependency, empowering communities to build, grow, and sustain themselves.
