LondonSwissMedical offers personal medical care. Dr Philip Kelly and Dr Martin Whyte are specialist Consultant Physicians practicing at King’s College Hospital. We offer consultations and care for endocrinology, diabetes, metabolism and general medicine. The most common problems we assess, diagnose and treat are thyroid diseases (Dr Kelly manages thyroid disease in pregnancy), polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), the menopause and it’s transition/ peri-menopause, parathyroid and calcium problems, and salt and water balance disorders. We see and assess patients for adrenal concerns, including adrenal failure, hypertension and Cushing’s syndrome; and diagnose and manage diabetes and cholesterol/ lipid disorders and hypertension. Dr Kelly also diagnoses and manages pituitary problems. Dr Whyte has a particular interest in type 2 diabetes, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), and obesity, and spends half of his time researching these as a Senior Lecturer at University of Surrey. We both practice as general physicians so if you are not sure what is wrong, we can often help, either as a first port of call or a second opinion. We both have a clinical and scientific interest in venous thromboembolism and pulmonary embolism and Dr Kelly has an interest in the diagnosis and management of anaemia, particularly iron deficiency. We work very closely with a network of colleagues in London and beyond to make sure you receive the right care/ surgery/ assessment should you need it.
