Lumen Coffee was founded by Arthur Lumen and Shant Ghazar with a mission to elevate coffee culture in Yerevan, Armenia. In 2020, they launched the brand through a successful crowdfunding campaign, pre-selling 33,000 espressos to fund their first Giesen W5A roaster. After opening their first café, Lumen expanded to a second location in a historic 1936 building, preserving its original character. In 2024, the company entered the U.S. market, starting with a pop-up in Los Angeles and later opening a permanent café in Highland Park, alongside a roasting project in Azusa, CA. Today, Lumen Coffee operates in Armenia and Los Angeles, with its roasted coffee available across the U.S.
