About Lycan Counseling Collective

Lycan Counseling Collective is mental health counseling group of providers serving all of Washington State online. Our team serves a diverse group of individuals, couples and families. Our team targets the LGBTQIA2S+ communities and neurospicy folks using a variety of therapy modalities. We believe in the inherent worth of the individual and also believe that systemic issues impact overall wellness and our ability to cope with life stressors. Additionally, we believe that having a provider that has appropriate training and lived experience is important, and that provider transparency and accountability is essential for building trust. Our founder, Kim Lycan, also believe that politics and activism are a part of wellness work. She states, "I am actively involved in community building and improvement spaces with the goal of creating spaces where all people feel heard and feel safe." For example, our group participate in PRIDE events, partner with non-profits working on probono counseling for uninsured folks. Our collective offers memberships that allow collaborative success rather than a hierarchical work structure between providers. We work with a co-op model of principals and strive to create a community that values cooperative and fair membership for all. We center providers holding identities that are systemically non-dominant, and enjoy working together to create a better workplace for all.
