LymeAlert is developing the first ever at-home tick test that detects Borrelia burgdorferi (the pathogen that can cause Lyme disease) directly within a removed tick. We are a team out of MIT with a commitment to improving access to healthcare and improving equity. At-home tick testing can speed time to diagnosis, aid in global disease surveillance, and reduce the use of unnecessary antibiotic treatment.
