About Machine Vision AI

Machine Vision AI (MVAI) is an Australian-based AI and machine learning company that helps its customers mitigate risk and improve efficiency by turning industrial cameras into real-time observation, compliance and resource-recovery engines. MVAI works with customers to develop solutions tailored to their specific challenges and problems. Established with a focus on the waste and resource recovery sector, MVAI is now developing applications for other sectors including manufacturing and childcare. MVAI was created by its CEO, Matthew Lonergan. Matt combines deep computer-vision expertise with hands-on resource recovery experience. He co-authored the 2025 peer-reviewed study “Analyzing Mixed Construction & Demolition Waste Using Deep Learning”.
