Maersk Line, Limited (MLL) is a US Flag carrier established in 1983 to support the conversion and operation of Maritime Prepositioning Ships for the United States Navy. Since its founding, MLL has evolved into the largest provider of internationally trading US Flag container capacity, currently operating a fleet of 20 vessels worldwide in support of US military, government, and humanitarian missions. MLL’s participation in the Maritime Security Program (MSP) and Voluntary Intermodal Sealift Agreement (VISA) ensures assured access to both vessel capacity and integrated logistics infrastructure, reinforcing US national security and sealift readiness. With service coverage spanning more than 300 global ports and a robust inland logistics network, MLL delivers end-to-end transportation solutions tailored to complex government and commercial requirements. The company supports a full spectrum of cargo types, including dry, refrigerated, specialized containers, out-of-gauge, and break-bulk shipments.
