About MAGICA Climate Project & JPI Climate

MAGICA (‘Maximising the synergy of European research Governance & Innovation for Climate Action’) is a JPI Climate EU-funded project running from June 2022-May 2026. JPI Climate - the EU Joint Programme Initiative on climate – connects research, policy and communities to inform effective climate adaptation & mitigation, and to support and promote climate action. MAGICA and JPI Climate, working with project and programme partners, deliver flagship events including the European Climate Change Adaptation Conferences ECCA2023 & ECCA2025, the Climate Neutrality Forum 2024 & 2026, the Knowledge Hub on Sea Level Rise and the innovative science-policy engagement series the Equinox Showcases. JPI Climate, in collaboration with JPI Oceans, has produced agenda-setting reports such as the 1st Assessment Report on Sea Level Rise in Europe and the upcoming Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) Knowledge Report. Our members engage in a wide range of influential climate events internationally, including the global world summits, COP. MAGICA is a Coordination and Support Action funded under the Horizon Europe programme within the call “HORIZON-CL5-2021-D1-01-03”.
