About MAHARASHTRA INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION

Maharashtra Industry Development Association (MIDA) is a prominent industry organization in Maharashtra, actively working for the past 27 years to promote the State’s industrial and economic growth. MIDA represents a wide network of members from diverse sectors, including manufacturing, SMEs, allied industries, services, infrastructure, real estate, power, IT & ICT, start-ups, co-operatives, and other business domains. MIDA consistently supports industries in exploring emerging business opportunities both in India and internationally. The association plays a key role in identifying partners for joint ventures, contract manufacturing, strategic collaborations, and facilitating finance and investment opportunities in the private sector. In addition, MIDA is deeply engaged in driving infrastructure development, rural industrialization, SME and entrepreneurship growth, environmental sustainability, and tourism promotion. The organization actively works on the establishment and management of industrial parks, clusters, and zones. It also provides essential government-related services, grievance redressal support, and advocates on behalf of industries with relevant authorities. MIDA was founded by Mr. Chandrakant Salunkhe, a visionary leader known for his efforts in driving policy reforms and empowering the manufacturing and SME sectors to enhance business growth and boost exports. Under his leadership, MIDA champions a level playing field and focuses on improving the “ease of doing business” across the State, ensuring inclusive and sustainable industrial development.
