About Makerere Innovation and Incubation Center

MIIC is a partnership between the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development and Makerere University. Our core objective is to enhance incubation and innovation in the public sector and create cost-effective and sustainable solutions for an enhanced private-public sector development. MIIC provides mentorship around ideation, product development, business development and access to seed capital to help entrepreneurs launch minimum viable products (MVP) in the market. Helping innovators, alumni and startups explore entrepreneurship. MIIC targets university students (Makerere university and other universities), small and growing businesses, technology startups and entrepreneurs across sectors like; Agriculture, Fintech, Education, Health, Retail & Commerce, Transport, Environment & Green, IT & Software services, Entertainment & Sports, Creatives among other sectors.
