About Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council

Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC) is a government agency established to support the development of Malaysia’s healthcare travel industry. Since 2009, MHTC has worked with public and private sector stakeholders to strengthen the healthcare travel ecosystem, with a focus on quality, coordination, and patient-centred care. Through the Malaysia Healthcare brand, MHTC facilitates the promotion of Malaysia’s healthcare services, including clinical expertise, patient experience, and integrated care pathways. In conjunction with the Malaysia Year of Medical Tourism 2026 (MYMT 2026), MHTC continues its efforts to enhance Malaysia’s presence as a healthcare travel destination and to support industry growth.
