Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies is the umbrella organization over two grant-making entities: Margaret A. Cargill Foundation (MACF) and Anne Ray Foundation (ARF). The combined assets of the two entities place MACP among the 10 largest philanthropies in the United States. Anne Ray Foundation is restricted to making grants only to organizations named by the founder, and Margaret A. Cargill Foundation accepts grant proposals by invitation only.
