About Marietta Daily Journal

Today Times-Journal Inc., and its 150-plus employees publish two dailies (the MDJ and the Cherokee Tribune), 23 Neighbor community newspapers, and four monthly magazines, including Cobb Life, in 10 counties (Bartow, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Henry and Paulding). The company is still owned and operated by the Brumby family. The MDJ aims to report the news aggressively, but with candor, discretion and fairness. And to paraphrase the words of the first Otis Brumby back in 1916, we welcome our readers to feel free at all times to criticize us — and support us.
