About Material Curiosity
While there are many overlapping goals, there is a chasm between Industry and Academia. Our mission is to bridge the pronounced gaps between the two sectors through: ⭐Consulting with both to create synergies that are mutually beneficial. ⭐Creating Programming that connects and serves each sector ⭐ Developing products and services that bridge academia to industry Material Curiosity is a small business dedicated to bridging the gap between the immense promise of developing potential that academia has kept for decades and the pragmatic and increasing expectations of a workplace environment that is the backbone of our industrial society. We are not a corporate giant with huge market ambitions. Our goal is to fill a need and continue to make sure the engineering discipline continues to thrive and that academic institutions and organizations have everything they need to help those who seek to become engineers to be as prepared as possible. Its founder, Dr. Kyle Clark, has experienced the gap first hand as a new engineer out of school from Berkeley to witness the gap for the last decade as senior engineer leading new engineers on a myriad of projects. His expertise, along with the sixteen engineers who contributed their stories as part of the 'Problem Solvers: Paths to Becoming an Engineer' book, have driven Material Curiosity to create a set of products to improve students' ability to adapt to the professional world.
