About Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland, Inc.

For 65 years, Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland has been committed to supporting aging, homebound, and disabled adults so they can live safely and independently in their own homes. As a trusted nonprofit, we work alongside dedicated staff, volunteers, and community partners to prepare and deliver more than 1.4 million nutritious meals each year to over 5,000 clients across Central Maryland. Our impact goes beyond the meal. Through services such as grocery shopping, Phone Pals, and other supportive programs, we address social isolation and provide peace of mind to the individuals we serve. Together, we’re strengthening our community by nourishing both body and connection.

Founded in 1960 by Beatrice Strouse and Ernestine McCollum.
