Tick-borne illness is a growing concern in the U.S. and abroad, but traditional tick pathogen surveillance can miss the mark in measuring the risk a tick bite poses to individuals and their families. Since 2006, the TickReport (https://www.tickreport.com) testing service has transformed the surveillance paradigm to provide individual answers that feed into a collective good. Accurate, timely, and responsive pathogen testing measures your risk of exposure to any of over twenty tick-borne pathogens, and each personal TickReport adds to a nationwide surveillance database tracking tick populations and infections. Most people know us through the TickReport pathogen testing service, but there's a lot more to our team of researchers and educators! In addition to other research on tick ecology, we provide mosquito surveillance and arbovirus testing in Western Massachusetts, and our team can take on any molecular biology projects to help you advance public health in your community.
