About MEGHESSENCE ORGANICS PRIVATE LIMITED

Meghessence Organics Pvt. Ltd., operating under the brand name Megha Mountain Organics, is a Meghalaya-based agribusiness dedicated to building a sustainable and transparent organic value chain. Rooted in the biodiversity of Northeast India, our primary goal is to highlight Lakadong turmeric to the world—a rare variety known for its exceptional curcumin content and health benefits—alongside high-quality ginger. At the core of our journey is a spice processing unit near Shillong, currently in progress, designed to run entirely on on-grid solar power. By adopting clean energy solutions, we aim to reduce our carbon footprint and set new benchmarks for environmentally responsible agri-processing. Sustainability for us is not just about products; it’s about regenerative practices, climate resilience, and ensuring long-term value for farmers and consumers alike. Our social mission is equally vital. Megha Mountain Organics is committed to local job creation and women’s empowerment, employing women from nearby communities to lead operations in our processing unit. This not only provides stable livelihoods but also strengthens rural economies through inclusive participation. By combining Meghalaya’s natural advantage with innovation and responsibility, we aspire to take Lakadong turmeric and other organic produce from our hills to global markets—building healthier choices for consumers while uplifting farmers and protecting the planet.
