About Melton Vale Sixth Form College

MV16 opened in January 2011 serving Melton Mowbray and the surrounding area with outstanding sixth form provision. The college offers students aged between 16 and 19 the opportunity to study in a purpose-built, fully-equipped, state of-the-art facility. The college prides itself on offering specialist A-Level teaching combining education with a wide and varied range of enrichment and curriculum opportunities that give you the very best education and preparation for further study at university or application for higher apprenticeships. We are immensely proud of this institution, its students and staff. Year on year our A-Level results show students at the college perform exceptionally well. All of our students go on to higher education, higher apprenticeships or employment. Many of them achieve over and above their expected outcomes, which is testament to the hard work of students and the environment they have chosen to study in. With highly experienced staff, exceptional facilities and an exciting and unique curriculum, MV16 truly offers the young people of Melton Mowbray and the surrounding area a unique opportunity to study a broad and balanced curriculum in a building that has been designed and equipped especially for sixth form provision. Our long-standing links with universities and prestigious blue chip companies are coupled with specialist advice, guidance and support given to students to assist them in making their career choices. Students are equipped for life with the experience they gain in researching, developing and realising their aspirations. MV16 is a special place. We recommend you to come and see for yourself just what the college can offer at this exciting time of your education. You will see happy, independent students working with dedicated and supportive staff. We look forward to meeting you!
