Our History On February 15, 1947, Metairie Bank & Trust Company was founded by local businessmen in order for Metairie to take its place as a self-sufficient community. Metairie Bank & Trust Company was the first bank on the East Bank of Jefferson Parish and has operated continuously from Metairie since 1947. Service Area Our primary service area is the East Bank of Jefferson Parish, La. We also service the remaining portion of Jefferson Parish and the parishes (counties) of Orleans, St. Charles, St. Tammany, St. Bernard, and St. John.
