Metropolitan Culinary Arts Institute (MCAI), is a private postsecondary school that offers a Certificate in Culinary Arts and Certificate in Breads & Pastry Arts by the State Council of Higher Education (SCHEV). We are ACF APPROVED! Located in Arlington, VA, we offer small classroom sizes for individuals interested in entering the culinary arts workforce either as a cook/chef or a pastry chef. Our culinary training consists of brigade training, cooking fundamentals, global cuisine, French cuisine, baking & pastry, business P&L, restaurant BOH operations, culinary inventory and culinary math. Students are prepared to work in a professional kitchen from prep cook to junior sous chef.
