About MiDesk Global

The MiDesk is a revolutionary solution that reimagines a school bag as a fully equipped learning station, transforming seamlessly into a desk, chair, solar-powered light, and USB charging port. This innovation empowers children to carry their workspace between home and school, creating a stable, dedicated learning environment shown to improve academic performance by up to 48%. In South Africa, over 3 million children lack access to desks in schools—a challenge mirrored across Africa, affecting 95 million children, and impacting more than 400 million globally. Proudly South African, patented, and made from lightweight, recyclable materials, the MiDesk offers a portable, durable solution for both classroom and home use. It supports children’s educational needs while promoting sustainability, aligning with six of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals outlined in the 2030 Agenda. The MiDesk is not only a practical tool but a beacon of hope, addressing educational inequality and advancing a more sustainable future for all.
