Midwest Imperial Metals Co., Inc. (MIM) originally opened as Midwest Specialty Metals, Inc. (MSM) in 2002. In 2014, MSM was purchased and managed by another family entity, under whom it was kept open until the end of 2020. Since then, it re-opened under new ownership and goes by its present name. MIM plans on becoming the leading locally owned supplier of stainless-steel products in the Chicagoland area.
