About Midwest Signal & Railroad Services
Midwest Signal & Railroad Services (MSRS) provides critical field and project support services to the rail industry, with a focus on signal maintenance, crossing testing, inspections, and flagging operations to protect railroad assets and ensure safe operations. Our team supports railroads with emergency signal knockdown, routine maintenance, and FRA-compliant testing and inspection services. In the event of crossing incidents or weather-related damage, MSRS responds quickly to restore safety, minimize disruption, and keep operations moving. In addition to field services, MSRS provides project management and execution support for railroad infrastructure and CRISI-funded projects. We work alongside railroads, contractors, and engineering teams to support coordination, contractor oversight, schedule tracking, documentation, and overall project execution from kickoff through closeout. Grant-funded projects require more than planning, they require consistent follow-through, communication, and accountability in the field. Our approach is built around real-world project coordination, helping railroads manage day-to-day execution while maintaining organization, visibility, and control throughout the life of the project. Whether supporting routine operations or large-scale capital projects, MSRS is committed to delivering practical, reliable solutions that keep railroad work moving safely and efficiently. If your team is planning or executing a railroad project and needs field support or project management assistance, we welcome the opportunity to connect.
