About Migration & Technology Monitor

Our mission is to monitor the use of surveillance technologies, automation, and the use of Artificial Intelligence to screen, track, and make decisions about people crossing borders, highlighting the far reaching impacts on people’s rights and lives. We host our first-of-its-kind Fellowship for people on the move to tell their own stories about border technologies. From Mexico to Uganda to Palestine to Nepal, as of 2025 we have incubated 15 incredible colleagues working on surveillance, chatbots, biometrics, and so much more.
