About Migros Group

Migros is Switzerland largest retailer and employer, operating as a cooperative federation with over two million members and approximately 100,000 employees. Founded in 1925 by Gottlieb Duttweiler in Zurich, the group runs supermarkets, the Denner discount chain, Migros Online, and industrial food production under Migros Industrie, as well as banking and health services. Migros is notably alcohol- and tobacco-free in its retail stores, reflecting its founder original consumer-health principles.
