About Mine Shaft Energy Storage (Pty) Ltd.

Mine Shaft Energy (Pty) Ltd. presents a groundbreaking, patented technology that breathes new life into abandoned mine shafts by repurposing them as cutting-edge energy storage systems. This innovation addresses the primary challenge of transitioning to renewable energy, the inherent intermittency of wind and solar power. We do this with a water-based system that solves the shortcomings of previously proposed gravity installations that make use of large weights or sand. Being water-based, this system can also be deployed to de-water mine shafts without the use of multi-level pumping schemes. Mine Shaft Energy is actively seeking further funding for a pilot installation. Help us convert your abandoned mine shafts from being a liability into an asset.
