MAAYGO is a leading health and human rights organization championing the rights of Gender Sexual Diverse Minority (GSDM) communities in Kenya. Rooted in the community as the Men Against AIDS Youth Group, founded in 2008, we evolved into a non-governmental organization (NGO) in 2016. MAAYGO delivers essential health services, advocates for human rights, drives social and climate justice, and builds capacity within GDSM communities. Our Vision: A Healthy and Socially Inclusive Communities. Our Mission: To transform society by facilitating equity and inclusivity of gender-diverse and sexual minority individuals to access healthcare and socio-economic opportunities. Our Mandates: 1. Health Services Provision: Offer comprehensive HIV and SRHR services and technical assistance to Gender Diverse and Sexual Minority Individuals. 2. Advocacy and Policy Reform: Advocate for the rights of GDSM communities and influence policy changes to promote equality and justice. 3. Community Support and Mental Health: Provide mental health prevention services, and response to, including GBV. 4. Knowledge management, evidence generation, and utilization: Undertake analysis to build knowledge on GDSM issues inform effective responses and share findings with stakeholders. 5. Capacity Building and Partnerships: Strengthen community networks, build capacity among GDSM individuals, and foster partnerships with key stakeholders to enhance service delivery, and advocacy efforts., and socio-economic opportunities. 6. Gender Inclusive Governance: MAAYGO is committed to advancing gender-inclusive leadership and creating equitable spaces for all GDSM individuals and communities. 7. Climate Justice: MAAYGO acknowledges the disproportionate impact of climate of change on GDSM communities.
