About Mission to Elderlies Foundation
Mission to Elderlies Foundation is an organization that is taking actions to make services acceptable, accessible and affordable to older persons, through program, education, research, partnerships, advocacy and partnerships. Our four domain services- health, protection, psychosocial and economic services- are provided through home, hospital, and community based platforms, including linkage to support services. We have a niche in setting up healthy ageing clinics in existing community hospitals to serve the unique healthcare needs of older persons; setting up of healthy ageing support groups in the communities to serve their social inclusion and psychosocial needs; setting up of household economic strengthening programs for older persons and their caregivers to meet their economic needs; and integrating protection services such as Elder Abuse, Ageism and Gender based Violence assessment and intervention into our hospital, community and home support services to meet their legal and protection needs. While we have responsibility to other vulnerable groups, our primary goal is to serve the vulnerable older population who we believe have not yet received the deserving attention. We are therefore a team of passionate health and other professionals who are on a MISSION of taking medicine and mission to the older persons, in order to achieve our VISION of making services acceptable, accessible and affordable for older persons.
