About MJM Architect Inc.

Victoria’s Adaptive Re‑Use and Building Modernization Specialist. MJM Architect Inc. is an award‑winning boutique architecture firm in Victoria, BC. Principal and Architect Michael Moody founded the practice after decades with renowned firms across British Columbia, where his early passion for hand sketching matured into a precise, craft‑driven approach. The firm has since grown into an elite core team. Along with Michael, we have our Director of Operations, a dedicated in‑house Project Manager and meticulous Building Technologists, all recognized for their uncommon diligence, crystal‑clear communication, and coordination that sets the tone for everyone involved in the project. At MJM Architect, we help owners and developers reimagine existing spaces and buildings—transforming tired spaces into vibrant community assets and functional environments across Victoria and Vancouver Island. Beyond adaptive re‑use and modernization of commercial spaces, we design contemporary custom homes, multi‑family and institutional developments. With over 30 years experience in the field, we confidently navigate approvals with diligence and diplomacy. By engaging early with municipal planners—and, when appropriate, respectfully challenging assumptions with code‑based rationale—we unlock pragmatic, compliant solutions. Thorough submissions and proactive coordination have built a strong record of timely approvals. Recognized among the Top 3 Residential Architects in Victoria, we pair professionalism with an approachable, community‑minded ethos. Ready to revitalize, modernize, or create from the ground up?
