About Mock Trial at Ohio State University

Mock Trial at Ohio State is a registered student organization at Ohio State University, as well as a member program of the American Mock Trial Association. MT@OSU accepts new undergraduate students every year to compete against other teams across the country, tackling criminal and civil case problems released by AMTA. Mock Trial helps students develop valuable public speaking, critical thinking, and teamwork skills. For students pursuing a career in law, Mock Trial provides competitors with firsthand experience in court procedure, trial advocacy, and the Rules of Evidence. MT@OSU has reached the final stage of the national tournament for the past seven consecutive years, and fields multiple individual teams who have competed successfully at the highest stages of competition.
