About Modern Soils

Modern Soils, founded in 1995, manufactures premium soil blends in partnership with Modern Mushroom Farms, one of the largest independently owned mushroom farms in the Eastern U.S., planting almost 4 million sq ft annually. Our closed-loop system repurposes spent mushroom substrate into high-quality compost and soil products. We continue to expand sustainable practices, including our new composting infrastructure in 2024.
