About Mohair Empowerment Trust

For over a decade, the Mohair Empowerment Trust has devoted its efforts to empowering emerging Angora goat farmers within South Africa, to become commercial Angora goat farmers. The aim is to provide training, support, and assistance to emerging farmers to promote black economic empowerment (BBBEE) within the mohair industry. While the emergence of commercial farmers is seen as a priority, the Empowerment Trust’s focus also shifts to the development of entrepreneurs and farmworkers. The constant development of small businesses are equally as important to ensure the universal goal of the Empowerment Trust is met.
