About Momentous Mold & Machine - formerly Reuther Mold
Founded in 1950 by the Reuther family, Momentous Mold & Machine designs and builds high-precision tooling for mission-critical Aerospace, Defense, Space, Energy, and Industrial applications. Our molds and assemblies enable the production of booster engines, helicopter rotor blades, fighter-jet air-intake systems, advanced polymer components, and beyond—where failure is not an option. For 75 years, the company has been trusted to design and manufacture molds for rubber, silicone, thermoplastic elastomers, graphite fibers, prepregs, crush core, SMC, and BMC systems. Our team has deep expertise in Invar-36 tooling, resin-transfer molds, preform and lay-up tools, and precision fixtures. The Reuther Cold Runner—known for its solid-block design and proprietary sealing features—remains one of the industry’s highest-performing cold-runner systems for elastomer molding. Today, Momentous operates at the center of a $40B U.S. tooling industry, delivering AS9100-certified molds and precision assemblies from our 60,000 ft² manufacturing campus in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Our engineers, designers, and programmers provide full life-cycle mold design and build services—from concept through CNC machining and final validation—using SolidWorks, CATIA V5, and integrated digital workflows. Acquired in 2025 by a team of Northeast Ohio owner-operators, Momentous combines Reuther’s generational craftsmanship with modern automation, digital rigor, and entrepreneurial energy to shape the next era of American manufacturing.
