About Monastic Academy for the Preservation of Life on Earth

The Monastic Academy is a Buddhist training center dedicated to addressing existential risk. Through education in meditation, ethical development, and the mind running the digital age, the Monastic Academy is building a wise and compassionate collective that can guide the modern world in using technology for the benefit of all beings. We offer a number of programs for those who are aligned with this mission and interested in this modern monastic education: Residential Training: Rigorous modern monastic training in Vermont for 1-3 months or longer. For those who wish to strive towards enlightenment (the perfect realization of what is true and good) and offer that clear mind to a world in crisis. Guest Programs: Receive spiritual guidance and the opportunity to integrate that clarity into work. Join as a service guest, continue your remote work, or join an unparalleled awakening retreat. AI Residency: A program for AI professionals to cultivate their minds, clarify the nature of these intelligent entities, and learn how to better guide the training of these systems. The Village: A community for laypeople and staff on our 150-acre campus. Live with dynamic spiritual friends, flexibly participate in the daily schedule, and support the community’s harmony and growth. Online Monastery: Exceptional online teachings on Buddhism, AI, and societal transformation.
