About Mongolian American Health Institute
The Mongolian American Health Institute (MAHI) is a volunteer-led national nonprofit, officially incorporated in April 2025, dedicated to improving the health and well-being of Mongolian Americans through education, research, collaboration, and advocacy. Navigating the U.S. healthcare system can be challenging, especially for immigrants facing language and cultural barriers. MAHI was founded to bridge these gaps — connecting our community with the knowledge, resources, and partnerships needed to live healthier lives. Our work is guided by three pillars: • Education: Expanding access to bilingual, culturally tailored health information that empowers individuals and families. • Community Building: Uniting Mongolian-led organizations and allies to strengthen collaboration and amplify local efforts. • Research & Advocacy: Laying the groundwork for community-led research and policy initiatives that highlight and address the unique health disparities facing Mongolian Americans. As we build our capacity, MAHI is focused on developing foundational initiatives — including a national digital hub for health information, community health outreach, and future programs that support youth leadership and culturally responsive care. MAHI envisions a future where every Mongolian American has equitable access to healthcare, representation in data and policy, and opportunities to thrive in healthy, connected communities. 📩 Learn more: www.mongolianhealth.org 📸 Follow us: Instagram @mahi.connects | Facebook @mahi.connects
