Headquartered in Rochester, NY, the Monroe County Upstate NY APEX Accelerator (formerly MCFL APEX) is the primary program for government contracting and marketing assistance, providing free and confidential services to businesses established in 13 counties in the Buffalo - Rochester - Syracuse corridor: Cayuga, Erie, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Niagara, Onondaga, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates. The APEX Accelerator program, under management of the Department of Defense (DoD) Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP), plays a critical role in the Department’s efforts to identify and engage with a wide range of businesses entering and participating in the defense supply-chain. The program provides the education and training that all businesses need to become capable of participating in DoD, federal, state, and local contracts. The APEX Accelerator mission is to serve as the axis for existing and new business to strengthen the defense industrial base by accelerating innovation, fostering ingenuity, and establishing resilient supply chains. Hosted by the County of Monroe Industrial Development Agency (COMIDA), MCUNY APEX is part of Monroe County’s strong commitment to business growth and development, job creation, by supporting the Defense and Government Industrial Base throughout the region.
