About Moor, Baker & Associates Architects, P.A.

Moor Baker Architects is the Vero Beach, Florida-based partnership of architects Peter Moor, Mary Juckiewicz, and Chris Baker. For more than thirty years, they have built their reputation creating timeless architecture where clients’ needs, climate and site converge. The firm focuses on the private home, both new construction and renovation, an occasional commercial space or garden folly and any project furthering their interests in site planning, urbanism, craft, construction and the continuation of the traditional building arts. After working in Manhattan, Moor and Juckiewicz opened a practice in Vermont where they were greatly influenced by the region’s traditional vernacular architecture. One of their projects received a National Historic Landmark designation. In 1991, Moor & Associates was formed in Vero Beach, Florida. Baker, a St. Louis native, joined the firm in 2004 and after eleven years of design collaboration, was made a partner. The firm has received numerous design awards, most recently the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art's 2020 Addison Mizner Award for a Single Family Residence under 5000 sf. Their work has been featured in several books and periodicals including "At Home on the Water," "Beachside: Windsor Architecture and Design," the ICAA's “A Decade of Art & Architecture 1992-2002,” the “Classicist No. 17,” “Robert Stilin: Interiors,” Elle Decor, Garden & Gun, and Milieu magazines.
