About More Than Food Non Profit

Who are we… MORE THAN FOOD was founded by three student-athletes at John Carroll University: Bricker Thiel, Brenden Swann, Colin Weeks who wanted to make an appreciable impact on the local community. Proper nutrient intake is such a pivotal role to being a top performing athlete, so we take great pride in eating healthy foods – that’s exactly what we provide at our service events too. In our traditional breakfast events, we feed people in need potatoes, eggs, and cheese, all in tortilla to make a protein packed burrito. By setting up food service events and recruiting students, sports teams, and faculty, we are offering our most valuable products – perspective, exposure, and hope. Those that we bring with us to our days of service have the opportunity to gain a more informed perspective through their shared exposure to the members and facilities in our homeless communities. Furthermore, those individuals at shelters will see that a multitude of other communities are attentive to their situation, and care enough to offer their service.
