About Moving Forward Coalition

The Moving Forward Coalition has been established to improve the quality of nursing home life of residents in the United States. We are doing so by creating a diverse community of expertise and lived experiences to create practical changes in the short term that also set the stage for long-term reform. Launched in August 2022, Moving Forward is comprised of seven working committees with individuals from across the country representing a range of perspectives – including residents, certified nursing assistants, advocates, policymakers, and providers. The work of these committees is to collaboratively identify practical solutions to start making needed changes now – specifically addressing seven known gaps currently hurting nursing home residents.
