About Mudgee Region Tourism

We’re the team behind the scenes, championing all things Mudgee Region. As a proud department of Mid-Western Regional Council, our job is pretty simple: help more people fall in love with this place we call home. We do that by sharing stories, supporting local tourism operators, and making sure every visitor feels like they’ve arrived somewhere special, even before they get out of the car. Our team is laser-focused, sleeves rolled up, and ready to protect, promote, and progress the experiences that make Mudgee Region shine. And yes, we’ve got big plans. By 2030, the visitor economy is tipped to be the most sustainable economic driver in our patch of country land. To pull that off, we’re leaning into collaboration, creativity, and a fair dose of old-fashioned community spirit. Change Your View | Small Region. Big Experience. No matter what they say - size definitely does matter! We’re unapologetically small. We’re perfectly imperfect - and we celebrate the things that enable us to slow down, enjoy the little things and remind visitors of how travel is meant to be... slow, unhurried and completely unique. In the small, collaboration shines. A community of authenticity driven by local people flaunting passion and pride - always ready to welcome visitors who quickly become friends for life. We’re al about the good stuff: Food and Drink Art and Culture The Great Outdoors Shopping and Markets Special Events And although the good stuff will tell a good story . it’s the moments that can’t be googled that makes us a best seller - so our mission highlights the small.big in everything we do.
