About Murphys Creek Theatre

Murphys Creek Theatre is a professional regional theatre nestled in California’s Sierra Foothills, where each performance is a moment in time that cannot be replicated. We create exceptional live theatre with a deep commitment to accessibility, offering pay-what-you-can admission so that anyone—regardless of financial means—can experience the transformative power of the arts. With over 30 years of history, MCT is proud to present a full season of top-tier productions while nurturing the next generation of theatre artists. Our programming includes Summer on Stage & Screen, which introduces young people to the art of performance and filmmaking, and Quill to Act, a festival dedicated to developing new work by emerging playwrights. Whether you’re in the audience, on stage, or behind the scenes, MCT invites you to take part in the kind of storytelling that connects people and creates lasting impact in the heart of a small town with a big artistic spirit.
