About Music Connects People - MCP organization

MCP – Music Connects People is a cultural NGO based in Strumica, North Macedonia, dedicated to strengthening the cultural landscape of Southeastern Macedonia and supporting emerging artists through music, creativity, and community engagement. The organization works to address key challenges in the region, including youth emigration, limited cultural opportunities, and declining public participation in cultural life. Through year-round initiatives such as workshops, mentorship programs, networking activities, and cultural events, MCP creates opportunities for young musicians, DJs, visual artists, and creative entrepreneurs to collaborate, develop their skills, and actively contribute to the cultural life of the region. Beyond individual events, MCP is focused on building a sustainable cultural platform that connects artists, audiences, and communities while encouraging creative exchange and regional cooperation. MCP is also actively involved in the cultural life of Strumica, contributing to major community events such as Strumica Carnival, as well as participating in charitable and community-oriented initiatives. One of the organization’s flagship initiatives is SFEST, a music and culture festival that brings together artists, creatives, and audiences in Strumica. As part of its ongoing development, MCP is launching SFEST LAB, a three-day program showcasing the outcomes of workshops and collaborations developed throughout the year, providing emerging artists with a platform to present their work and connect with the public. Through these activities, MCP continues to strengthen cultural collaboration, creativity, and community engagement across the region.
