About Mustad S.p.a. Italy

Mustad S.p.A. is an Italian company and a European leader in the production of high-quality screws, 100% Made in Italy. Founded in 1912 in Pinerolo, it now operates two manufacturing plants in Pinerolo and Balangero, where millions of pieces are produced every day. From our origins - horse shoe nails and the first wood screws - our history is a continuous path of innovation: cold heading, thread rolling, advanced heat treatments, and high-performance eco-friendly surface coatings. All raw materials and components are sourced from European suppliers, ensuring a short, flexible, and fully traceable supply chain. Since 2000, every Mustad screw has been “signed” with our brand on the head, a guarantee of origin and traceability. Quality is our standard: careful raw material selection, IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 certified processes, in-house laboratories, and functional testing. Our construction ranges are CE marked for wood and steel structures. Highly automated and controlled production processes ensure consistent quality and full compatibility with the most advanced automatic fastening systems. Alongside the product, we deliver a service that makes the difference: co-design with customers, screwing tests, production cycle optimization, ready-to-ship stock management, EDI integration, and dedicated technical support. Mustad serves major industrial users and qualified distributors across Italy and Europe in sectors such as furniture, windows and doors, household appliances, automotive, lighting, electronics, metalwork, mechanics, and plastic molding — offering a complete range of standard screws and custom-made fasteners. A culture of continuous improvement drives choice, with constant focus on safety, efficiency, and sustainability. Recognized as a “Historic Company” and holder of the “Historic Trademark of National Interest” by the Italian Patent and Trademark Office (UIBM) for the Panelvit® brand, Mustad has represented Italian fastening excellence for over a century.
