About My Trauma Is Chronic, But I Am Iconic!!™ C.I.C.

MTICBIAI, which stands for “My Trauma Is Chronic But I Am Iconic”, is a Community Interest Company (CIC) dedicated to supporting individuals who have experienced trauma and adversity. We specialise in working with care-experienced young people and adults and those who have navigated the criminal justice system, addressing the complex challenges they face with compassionate, trauma-informed guidance. Our motto, “Survival is the start. Thriving is the destination and we deliver.”, reflects our commitment to moving individuals beyond survival towards genuine empowerment and growth. Each year, we support an average of 1,712 people, delivering bespoke, holistic interventions that combine mentoring, our flagship programme Thrive, access to necessities, tailored psychological resources, trauma-informed therapeutic support, and connections to appropriate adult services. Alongside this, we provide high-quality organisational consultancy and training, influencing systems and organisations to better respond to the needs of marginalised communities. Our work generates significant social value, improving wellbeing, building resilience, enhancing opportunities, and creating lasting positive outcomes. By preventing further crises and supporting sustainable personal and social transformation, we save approximately £10,000 per person annually in social costs, demonstrating the measurable impact of our interventions on both individuals and society.
