After 16 years the consortium has become the standard for the DoD in providing collaborative armaments development ensuring a rapid, effective method for developing armament systems for the US warfighter. The NAC is governed by a nine-member Executive Committee consisting of a proportional number of representatives from small business, large business, and academic institutions. The consortium has grown to include customers from all segments of the DoD armaments technology base.
