The Nanaimo Brain Injury Society (NBIS) is a registered nonprofit and charitable organization supporting people living with brain injury since 1988. Through individual and family support, education, and peer connections, NBIS helps people navigate life after brain injury while strengthening awareness and understanding in our community. Our work is made possible by a dedicated team of staff, volunteers, board members, community partners and funders who share a commitment to inclusion, recovery, and meaningful participation in community life. Together, we work to create a community where people living with brain injury are supported, connected, and able to thrive.
